If you are an existing Amazon Product Advertising API (PA-API 5.0) customer, then you need to migrate to the new Creators API. It provides the same functionality as PA-API 5.0 with enhanced authentication using OAuth 2.0 and advanced credential management.
Once you have migrated to the Creator API with AffiliateX, all you need to do is update the relevant information to get started with your affiliate marketing promotion without any hassles.

Note: You need to store your Credential Secret securely. It will only be displayed once during creation. If you lose it, you need to generate a new credential.
Now follow the steps to configure and migrate to the Amazon Creators API from the Product Advertising API in AffiliateX below:
Step 1: After getting your Creators API credentials, you need to fill in that information in your WordPress dashboard AffiliateX → Amazon Settings → Amazon Creator API.
Step 2: Fill in the required sections with the following values:
- Credential ID
- Credential Secret
Step 3: If you are a new user, you need to include Amazon affiliate country, Amazon Tracking ID and check other details to finally press the “Save Changes” button at the top.
- If you see the notification, “There is an error with the connection to Amazon…” It means it is incorrect or something is missing.
- Otherwise, if the credentials are correct, it will display a “Verified” icon next to the “Amazon Settings” header. AffiliateX can now start retrieving product data from Amazon via the Creators API.
If you are unable to start immediately with Amazon Creators API due to any sort of Amazon acceptance issues, you can use AffiliateX Zero API as your solution immediately. Without providing the Creators API connection, you can fill up your new target sales as a beginner.
